TalkTV’s Julia Hartley-Brewer is the gift that keeps giving the world a window into the minds of fading colonial powers. Hot on the heels of Israel’s genocide case at the International Court of Justice, she interviewed author and commentator Douglas Murray on the merits of the case. In her question to him, she insinuates that South Africa should know its place, a dirt-poor Global South country that has no business taking Israel to court. Murray agrees with her that South Africa ought to be minding its own numerous problems. He then says the charge of genocide levelled at Tel Aviv is preposterous, seeing that Gaza’s population has actually grown by 1 million Palestinians in the last 16 years! Oh, and he denies war crimes are being committed.
