Claudia de la Cruz, running as the Party for Socialism and Liberation’s US presidential candidate, argued at a 30 August campaign event that Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party’s nominee in November’s election, is capitalism’s choice for the top job.
De la Cruz (@Claud9_ on X and @1claud9 on IG) cited Harris’ record as California’s attorney general, during which she is accused of fuelling mass incarceration by subverting a 2011 Supreme Court ruling requiring the state to reduce its prison population. Claudia also brings up the Biden-Harris administration’s support for Israel’s military onslaught on Gaza, reminding people about the $26 billion the US gave Tel Aviv in April. That’s on top of an annual $3.8 billion defence aid package that renews for 10 years from 2019 through 2028, which former US President Barack Obama signed into law in 2016. US support for Israel has featured prominently in the run-up to the election, with the Democrats experiencing a deep rift within party ranks and among ordinary people who once looked at it as the party for workers.
De la Cruz’s pitch to voters is they should not surrender their awakening over Gaza’s suffering to the billionaire-funded political parties, whether Democrat or Republican.

I loved as much as you will receive carried out right here The sketch is tasteful your authored subject matter stylish nonetheless you command get got an edginess over that you wish be delivering the following unwell unquestionably come further formerly again as exactly the same nearly very often inside case you shield this hike
As a Black American, I checked out of the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election awhile ago. I became intolerant and disenfranchised with the slick political trickery I observed. Albeit, this is worse than the 2000 U.S. Presidential election when the U.S. Supreme Court selected George Bush, Jr. as the winner over Al Gore.
What was the point of voting?
I can’t dismiss that US VP Kamala Harris didn’t run for president at the beginning of this race. She replaced Biden AFTER he won the Democratic Primary election. This switcheroo is unheard of in the history of U.S. Presidential elections. Biden went back to work as if nothing ever happened. If he was unfit to continue the presidential race, then he’s unfit to serve as the Chief Executive.
Again, what’s the point of voting?
Both U.S. Republican and Democratic parties have unclean hands and are corrupt. Both are playing the public for fools. The public, unwittingly, is caught up in a power struggle between TWO imperialist Caucasoid groups–the nationalists and globalists. Both dupe the voter into cosigning legislation that strips their rights, giving corporations more control over their lives. No privacy. No control over your own body. And more…
To add insult to injury, the U.S. Congress and President is heavily influenced by a foreign government, Israel, (the shadow government that’s been running the U.S. all along) whose lobbyist, AIPAC, goes after politicians who don’t sign a contract in support of Israel. AIPAC funds the opposition to unseat non-supporters of Israel. A good number of Black politicians experienced the wrath of AIPAC. Their names and reputation were smeared in public media. Political careers ruined because they didn’t sign “the contract”.
What is the point of voting?
I’d rather prioritize my family and loved ones and build support networks between Africans and the Diaspora than to waste more brain cells on a system that dupes the public with “illusions of inclusion”.
My true concern is about the future of Africa. If Africa falls, the global African family falls.
Not on my watch.
